María Manautou-Matos, originally from Puerto Rico, is a visionary leader with two decades of expertise in marketing, communications, and multimedia. Before founding Pittsburgh Latino Magazine, she served as Marketing Director at Brightside Academy, where she spearheaded creative multistate marketing campaigns and corporate communications initiatives. A proud alumna of Carnegie Mellon University (B.A.) and Duquesne University (M.S.), María’s dedication to amplifying Latino voices in Pittsburgh has earned her numerous awards and grants. Her efforts have solidified her position as the driving force behind Western PA’s premier Latino-focused media platform.
