Food lovers have a delicious reason to head to Oakland this week as the Oakland Business Improvement District (OBID) hosts Oakland Restaurant Week, a six-day celebration of the neighborhood’s vibrant culinary scene, running from June 16 to 21.

The event shines a spotlight on the diverse dining options that make Oakland one of Pittsburgh’s most flavorful and lively neighborhoods. From mouthwatering tacos and burgers to sweet treats and fresh sushi, participating restaurants are offering exclusive specials and promotions throughout the week.

Local favorites like Stack’d, Smashed Waffles, Dave and Andy’s Ice Cream, Viva Los Tacos, and Sushi Atarashi are among the many businesses taking part.

“Restaurant Week is a way to celebrate what makes Oakland such a dynamic neighborhood,” said Shawn Fertitta, Interim Executive Director of OBID. “By supporting our restaurants and food vendors, you’re not just grabbing a great meal—you’re helping our local economy thrive and investing in the community.”

Known as a hub for culture, innovation, and flavor, Oakland’s culinary scene reflects its diverse population—from students and families to long-time residents. Whether you’re a neighborhood regular or a first-time visitor, Oakland Restaurant Week offers the perfect excuse to try something new.
