Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation has opened 6 cooling centers in various neighborhoods as the city experiences a heat wave.
The National Weather Service reported that Pittsburgh, among various other U.S. cities, is at risk of “extreme” heat. This heat wave is Pittsburgh’s longest in years. A heat advisory is in place until Friday, June 21, but it may be upgraded as more information is available.
