ALLISON PARK, Pa. — Mercearia Brasil celebrated its new location at 3932 William Flinn Highway, Allison Park, PA 15101, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on July 1.
The event marked an important milestone for owner Keyla Nogueira, a longtime entrepreneur in the Pittsburgh area. Before opening Mercearia Brasil, Nogueira owned Casa Brasil, a Brazilian restaurant in the City of Pittsburgh that introduced many local residents to the flavors and traditions of Brazil.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Brent Rondón of the University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center (SBDC), who has served as a mentor to Nogueira throughout her entrepreneurial journey. Family, friends, and customers gathered to celebrate the opening and show their support for the business.
Mercearia Brasil offers a variety of Brazilian grocery products, giving the local Brazilian and Latino communities access to authentic foods and specialty items from Brazil while also introducing Brazilian culture and cuisine to the broader Pittsburgh region.
The opening of the new store represents another success story for a local Latino-owned business and highlights the continued growth and diversity of the region’s small business community.
Keyla is also the contributor of Pittsburgh Latino Magazine’s Cantinho Brasileiro.
