YWCA Greater Pittsburgh is seeking nominations for its Equity Awards this upcoming fall.
Nominations are currently open for the YWCA Equity Awards, and are due at 11:59 pm on July 31. The YWCA asks that you nominate leaders, especially women of color, who share the YWCA’s mission in empowering women and eliminating racism.
Categories for awards include the Emerging Leader Award, the Ally Award, and more. Some categories are open for nomination of an organization, as well. Selection Committee Members, who are listed on the website, cannot be nominated.
Awardees will be announced in early fall 2024, and will be recognized on November 1, 2024 during the Equity Awards Luncheon at the Westin Pittsburgh from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Sponsorship opportunities for the Equity Awards are available as well.
Originally known as the “Women’s Christian Association,” the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh was established in 1867 in order to advocate for civil rights, voting rights, pay equity, and affordable housing. For over 150 years, it has worked toward advancing education, equity, and opportunity regardless of race, gender, or background. Today, it offers accessible child care, supportive housing, after-school STEM education for girls, and more.
