The Pittsburgh Hispanic Development Corporation recently announced that it will now offer notary services for the Pittsburgh community.

The PHDC, which is “dedicated to improving the lives of Hispanics in the region,” made the announcement in an Instagram post on June 6. Notary services are important, as notarizing documents certifies that the signatures are legitimate, and therefore legally binding.

The notary services available at the PHDC include oaths and affirmations, verifications, signature witnessing, acknowledgements, and certifying copies. Among other things, the notary services will certify copies of baptismal certificates, contracts, leases, bills of sale, transcripts, diplomas, driver’s licenses, medical records, passports, personal letters, public records, social security cards, and more.

The PHDC offers housing, employment, and business services for Latinos in Pittsburgh. It is located in Beechview at 1555 Broadway Avenue, Second Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
