In light of the challenges COVID-19 has created for small businesses, and restaurants in particular, three PA Latino organizations have launched an initiative to support Latino restaurants from May 4 – 10.
The Pennsylvania Latino Convention, La Voz Latina Central, and the Dominican Association of PA are using hashtags like #LatinoTakeOutPA, #DineLatino, and #CincodeMayoWeek to spread the word.
They encourage Pennsylvanians to order takeout, share the initiative, tag their favorite restaurant, and share pictures of the food they order on the Facebook event page.
The #DineLatino initiative coincides with the observance of Cinco de Mayo, a celebration many Americans will miss out on this year.
