Pittsburgh’s Fourth of July 2025: New Locations, Same Spectacular Show

This year, Pittsburgh’s Fourth of July celebration moves to the North Shore Great Lawn and Grandview Bandstand in Mount Washington, due to construction at Point State Park. Festivities run from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the city’s signature fireworks show at 9:35 PM.

What to Expect:

At the North Shore Great Lawn:

  • Two live music stages (PNC Great Lawn & Sargent Electric Solar Stage)

  • Family Fun Zone

  • Food trucks at the People’s Natural Gas Corral

  • 80-foot hot-air balloon

At Mount Washington’s Grandview Bandstand:

  • Live music

  • Kids’ activities and refreshments

  • Shuttle service from Bottlerocket Social Hall

Fireworks:

  • Start at 9:35 PM, synced to music on 100.1 FM KDKA and broadcast live on WPXI-TV

Reminders:

  • Bag checks at entrances

  • Prohibited items include alcohol, grills, fireworks, tents, and laser pointers

  • Events are free and open to the public
