LANCASTER, PA – As Pennsylvania approaches a pivotal election, CASA has launched “Oye Mi Voto,” a grassroots campaign that mobilizes and amplifies the voices of Puerto Rican voters, a rapidly growing and influential demographic. With concentrated populations in key areas of South Central PA, Puerto Rican voters can potentially shape the future of Pennsylvania’s political landscape.

With a younger-than-average population, many Puerto Rican voters are new to the process, bringing fresh perspectives and an eagerness to effect change. Designed by the community and for the community, “Oye Mi Voto” infuses Puerto Rican identity into every element. The campaign celebrates Latino heritage with vibrant colors, cultural symbols, and familiar imagery that resonate with Puerto Ricans. Whether they’ve recently arrived or have deep generational roots in the U.S. By honoring these connections, the campaign reinforces shared identity, creating a platform where every Puerto Rican feels seen, valued, and inspired to shape their community’s future.

With an estimated 580,000 eligible Latino voters in Pennsylvania, the Latino and Puerto Rican vote has never been more critical. Increased turnout, especially among young Puerto Rican and Latino residents, could greatly support the community’s priorities in state and national decisions.

The “Oye Mi Voto” campaign sparks voter engagement across Pennsylvania through a robust blend of digital outreach and on-the-ground canvassing. CASA’s dedicated team actively connects with communities in York, Lancaster, Dauphin (Harrisburg), and Cumberland counties, directly engaging with residents at over 32,000 homes. Alongside this grassroots effort, the campaign deploys a dynamic social media strategy with impactful visuals and messages designed to inspire and mobilize Puerto Rican voters, building a more empowered and informed voting bloc ready to make their voices heard.
