The 2026 NFL season features a growing group of Latino players representing a wide range of backgrounds and positions across the league. As of September 2, 55 Latinos were on NFL teams, including 38 on 53-man rosters and 17 on practice squads or reserve lists.
Among the players to watch are established stars such as four-time All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner of the San Francisco 49ers, 2025 Pro Bowlers Nik Bonitto of the Denver Broncos, Christian Gonzalez of the New England Patriots and Jake Ferguson of the Dallas Cowboys, along with veterans Chris Olave and Julian Love.
The 2026 season also brings several promising young Latino players into the spotlight. They include Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo, Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Steve Avila and Miami Dolphins linebacker Jacob Rodriguez. Cleveland Browns wide receiver KC Concepcion and Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Fernando Mendoza are among the Latino rookies attracting particular attention.
Other players representing Latino heritage include San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Piñeiro, Indianapolis Colts punter Rigoberto Sanchez, Chicago Bears kicker Cairo Santos, Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza and Cleveland Browns punter Corey Bojorquez. The group also includes players of Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Venezuelan, Colombian, Spanish, Brazilian, Panamanian and Nicaraguan heritage.
Together, these 25 players reflect the diverse backgrounds and growing presence of Latinos in professional football, giving fans plenty of names to follow throughout the 2026 NFL season.
