This August 15, ALPFA Pittsburgh is hosting a full-day learning experience designed to transform how professionals navigate workplace conflict, culture, and leadership. Open to members and non-members alike, the summit welcomes anyone ready to show up differently at work.
Conflict, Culture & Clarity in the Workplace is built for professionals ready to move beyond avoidance and into understanding. Facilitated by Nayli Russo of Russo Leadership, the workshop weaves together behavioral science, cultural identity, and practical tools in a format that’s accessible, experiential, and deeply relevant to the Latine community. Across four modules, attendees will explore who they are in conflict, recognize destructive patterns, discover how to choose productive responses, and learn to negotiate from their identity without self-betrayal.
Attendees will hear from leaders across industries sharing real workplace stories, discover their own behavioral style and how it shapes their approach to conflict, and leave with language, tools, and a personal commitment to show up differently. Full details are available in the event brochure.

Need Help Covering the Cost?
Many employers set aside an annual professional development budget that goes unused if unclaimed. Attendees are encouraged to check with their manager or HR, as it’s often a simple reimbursement process rather than a special approval. Suggested language for a request:
“I’d like to use my professional development budget to attend ALPFA Pittsburgh’s Leadership Summit 2.0 on August 15th, a full-day workshop on conflict, culture, and communication in the workplace. Registration is $75. This aligns directly with our team’s focus on communication, leadership, and building a robust pipeline of Latino talent, and I’d like to submit this as a reimbursable expense under my PD allocation for this year.”
Attendees whose companies already sponsor ALPFA Pittsburgh or have an ERG in place are encouraged to reach out, as there may be additional ways to attend at no cost.
